I really enjoy reading and writing. I have begun reading more and more Slavic literature as of late due to my pursuit of a Masters and Doctorate in Central/Eastern European Studies, focusing mainly on Poland and Germany. Writing is a passion of mine and I try to devote time to work on my own books and poetry. I do also read/have read a great deal of history, particularly Ancient Rome and Greece, European history, and have familiarized myself with Arab history and other civilizations for fun. Soccer is also a passion of mine and I enjoy playing whenever the weather permits, or sometimes doesn't permit. I tend to be a relaxed person but am dedicated in attaining a doctorate in Slavic Studies before I reach 30. My Polish background contributed to this particular field and my visits to Poland and Europe, which are often and during the summers, have further spurred my motivation. My interest in writing is also what encourages me to write books throughout my lifetime, as well as poetry. I am hoping to find a woman who is serious about a relationship and is there for support as well as companionship where we can talk freely about anything. As I mentioned, I am of Polish descent, though born in the Chicago suburbs. I have family there and although I do not visit as often as before, I try to go every year or every other year for a little period of time since I work when at home from school. I will be finishing my Masters in Pennsylvania at the end of 2010 and will be back in Chicago for around 9 months, depending on which school I get into for my PhD. However, although this temporary distance may seem like a negative thing, I do travel home often when needed. I enjoy various genres of music, though I mainly listen to different genres of heavy metal, particularly folk metal, electronic metal, etc. Techno, trance, chillout, and other dance type music is also one of my favorite genres.
